The Dauphin Kings haven't had many days this week where they haven't had a game, but today is one of those days as they prepare for the Neepawa Natives tomorrow night at the Yellowhead Centre.
The Kings are fresh off the MJHL Showcase, where the team went 0-2, but played the Steinbach Pistons well last night, but fell 3-0.
"Overall, we struggled a little bit in the first period," said Mitch Giguere, Interim Head Coach and GM of the Kings. "After that in the second and third, we probably had more good chances than the Pistons. Yes, they had way more shots than us, but that doesn't really tell the story because a lot of their shots were from the outside."
Now, for the fifth time this season, the Kings will hook up with the Neepawa Natives tomorrow night, and so far, the Kings have gone 1-2-1 against the Natives this season, but beat them last Sunday 4-2 on Tractor Lotto Sunday.
"It's going to be a tough battle," said Giguere. "They won their first game at the Showcase, but lost their second and before that, lost seven of their last eight games. We just have to work hard, and make sure we get those two points."

"At this time, we've played a lot of games," said Giguere. "You're going to have bumps and bruises, but we have to play these next few games hard, and then we get a little break for Christmas."
